There's a horizontal pole suspended from the ceiling, and watching some of them pull themselves up and hang upside down is interesting. "Les Trois Brasseurs". There are a couple of these, one on St. Catherine and one down in Old Montreal, on the road across from the river, near the Science Center. It's a microbrewery and bar all in one. They serve beer by the litre! Peel Pub. On Peel St, just south of St. Catherine, on the West side They have some of the cheapest food you'll find in the city, and I've never been disappointed by quality. The portions are generally pretty large too. Right across the street from Peel Pub is a shuttle bus which will take you over to the Casino for free. It only comes once an hour on the hour. Usually a good plan is to sit and eat or drink in Peel Pub while you wait for the right time for the bus.
