November 3, 200817 yr After seeing this picture on Wikipedia, I finally come to understand why the new Aveo hatchback doesn't look right. The lower grille is obscenely large, to a point it makes the car out of balance, but if you look at this Euro version with the front plate, it actually make sense. The front plate hides part of the lower grille, so it makes it looks smaller. Look closely if you see a new Aveo in person, you'll find out that only half of that grille actually has holes. My suggestion is to make it look a bit more like the previous gen 3-door Kalos Sport version (which IMO looks awesome). Put on a front plate holder, then relocate the Chevy badge into the upper grille. Makes the front a bit less offensive and better proportioned, I think. Also, putting the bowtie there would also make cars with the American plate bracket looks retarded. Judging by the size differences the American plate bracket will cover part of the logo. November 24, 200817 yr I am so sick of portholes being on EVERYTHING now. [fender vent!!!!] lol not the same
November 24, 200817 yr I see what you mean Toni... in the US, maybe the states that have to have front plates will help boost sales :AH-HA_wink:
November 24, 200817 yr ... yet I had a customer who bought the G3 because he felt the license plate holder (required in Ontario) ruined the look of the vehicle, which IMO, it does. Many of the better looking vehicles (Corvette, for example) are ruined by the presence of front licens plates. I would agree that the double grille on the Aveo is a bit over the top, but over all I still like it the best in an arguably boring crop of subcompacts (Yaris, Versa, etc.)

In its current look it's just ghastly.

December 25, 200817 yr Ive had an Aveo (supplied by my employer) for 3 years now and while it does the job of basic transportation i cant imagine it as 'stylish' in any possible sense. It is what it is.
