November 14, 200817 yr Fox News just bought the limo pics and they were on the front door of the site: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,452088...ch/foxcarreport I assume I'll be accused of being a terrorist by the end of the day.
November 14, 200817 yr Cause no other president has ever had an armored Caddy. Faux Noise should just own up up to what they are.
November 14, 200817 yr Not to mention that this was being designed and built... oh about a year ago or more.
November 14, 200817 yr WTHell are you guys bitching about? They mentioned that this is the new "Cadillac One" and it will be Obamas and somehow it's another example of Fox having a Republican-slant?
November 14, 200817 yr I'm surprised they are still doing the limo w/ DTS cues, instead of an Escalade... Though I think Bush should have had a HUMMER limo since he was the self-proclaimed 'war president'.. Edited November 14, 200817 yr by moltar
November 14, 200817 yr Oh shoot me now... Can we assume you meant Only When Your're INSIDE Cadillac One? :smilies-38096:
November 14, 200817 yr Author Can we assume you meant Only When Your're INSIDE Cadillac One? :smilies-38096: Mmm...good idea, yes.
November 14, 200817 yr Could this be the next DTS? Or is it just a STS grille with Escalade lights and handles and an STS rear end? I am trying to figure this thing out, and obviously it is on the HD truck platform with rear leaf springs.

Just a mis-mash of body parts that fit.
November 14, 200817 yr It has nothing to do with anything in the future Caddy lineup. Just a mis-mash of body parts that fit. How very old-school GM. The presidential limo needs to be replaced by something zero-emission. Thats right, I'm talking about a horse drawn carriage. All the armor will make the carriage heavy, so a team of 40 horses will be necessary. Or maybe some oxen, a la Oregon Trail. The president can also take 5 sets of clothing, 1000 pounds of non-perishable food and a spare axle!
November 15, 200817 yr What in the world makes you think that 40 horses or oxen are "zero emission"? Ok, slightly more carbon neutral than an 8,000 pound TopKick with a Cadillac body.
November 15, 200817 yr Ok, slightly more carbon neutral than an 8,000 pound TopKick with a Cadillac body. I'd kill for that...

November 15, 200817 yr Author Honestly did you take those photos? Uhm...it is what I do for a living. What made you think I didn't?
November 15, 200817 yr Those pics are one of the coolest examples of your work, Mr Doane. I was blown away when you posted them, all I could think was " Damn! He is good." I'll remember you when you take up residence at Guantanamo. :AH-HA_wink:

November 15, 200817 yr I am just suprised as spy photographer whom auto lovers (like me) worship and that you post around here. Fox News obviously thought it was important and used your photos. Gosh that would be a sweet job. Edited November 15, 200817 yr by gm4life
November 15, 200817 yr Remember when Cadillac tried to use the old Cadillac One as a "preview" for the new DTS? Great idea, it looked terrible and nothing like the real thing.
