November 22, 200817 yr A jury of environmental and automotive experts selected the 2009 Jetta TDI from the field of five finalists that also included the BMW 335d, Ford Fusion Hybrid, Saturn Vue 2 Mode Hybrid, and smart fortwo The Prius will win next year, the Volt will win the year after that. The Green CotY is just like MT's TotY, the big boys are never new at the same time so the award goes, by default, to whatever is newest and shiniest. That said, the Jetta TDI is an extremely impressive machine and I hope a new generation of diesels bring in a new generation of diesel buyers.

November 23, 200817 yr Author Rumor is the TDi is going into the Rabbit/Golf for 2010 or 2011. Now all VW needs is a dealer network and they will be set. Chris
November 23, 200817 yr If that's the case, won't it be the Mk VI? I hear it's coming to the U.S. in the fall of 2009; one year after its European debut.
