Interesting..didn't know this one was coming...looks like SAABs answer to the Allroad, XC70, or Outback type of wagon. I thought they were going to be doing a Theta-Epsilon crossover like the next SRX?

Same here.

They are. It's called the 9-4x.

I predict Saab will sell about 5 of these.

You actually made me laugh out loud...and I'm alone.

Yep, I see about the same number of sales in Saabs crossover future.

It is the answer to the XC70, and SAAB will have the 9-4X if it and GM live long enough.

Of course, with the neglect this brand has enjoyed since GM bought it, these vehicles together with a modern 9-5 should have been here at least 5 years ago... oh, well...

I remember the 9-3X concept car...

Looks like a 9-3 wagon with a lifted suspension to me...

Oh well, if it helps GM, then I guess it's okay. (LOL)

Isn't this just the new iteration of the SportCombi? It does look beefier a la Volvo XC, so maybe it will have a wider appeal. Still though, all the product in the world won't fix SAAB's sales problems with so few and far-flung dealerships.

It is just an iteration of the SportCombi, pretty much like the XC70 is just an iteration of the V70. According to SAAB's general manager, new stuff (the real new stuff) will appear during 2009 (NG 9-5, at last!) and 2010 (9-4X which has been delayed a few months). Of course, as with many GM brands it may be too little too late, but hey... it's good old GM...
