Stupidest Toyota commercial ever...

Featured Replies

Toyota was ahead of the times even back in 1983 with its DIESEL pick-up. They even have a macho cowboy in it doing a cheer leading jump. This thing reminds me of the Tundra only better looking. I can't imagine what a modern Chevy Silverado 3500HD could do to this thing? Maybe run over, eat it for a snack or maybe tow about 10 of these behind at 90 mph? Hmmmm... For those of you so interested in watching...

TOYota DIESEL pick-UP

Kinda like my local Toyota dealer claiming to be evironmentally friendly by tearing down their current dealership and building a "green"dealership...

gm4life, you knew the S-10 and S-15 were available in 1982 with an Isuzu diesel engine, right?

hehe i thought that HiLux was pretty rugged top gear tried to destroy... i dont miss those old toyota comercials at all. btw i wonder what that cat was getting ready to say in the next comercial. retrojunk.com has a lot of great old comercials to browse through.

Wow, weird to see a car commercial without "RED TAG EVENT!!!!" being the focus.

Difference is that Toyota is only trying to get people to buy cars. GM is trying to get people to buy cars and get taxpayer money to keep the company afloat. It sends a bad sign to potential investors (American taxpayers) if the only advertising angle you can take is "the deal" because focusing on "the deal" makes people think of cheap.

Those Toyota diesel pickup were environmentally friend, too - they dissolved in water and biodegraded into ferrous oxide.
