Well the modern race engine is nothing to sneeze at its just not Oldsmobile. A built 1970 350 Olds would be nice but I dont think you could approach the HP of this engine and then it might not be in spec for the track. This is a pretty good price for a track ready race car.

The Aurora like the one in my former sig sold without a drivetrain at auction for 26,000 or somewhere in that area.

Im sure the engine needs a rebuild, the condition was listed as fair. Expensive hobby.
you bring a good point - I understand about the chevy engine being able to produce more power for cheap but I like the idea of using the Toro body with the updated Aurora racing engine :AH-HA_wink:

Hey ya know ? How about that dual quad or quad 8 or what ever it was called ? Believed to be the predesessor to the A*. Someone posted the only print about the engine on the old board but that is lost and I never saved it here myself. That would actually be period correct. No doubt the 4 litre IRL engine would be insanely competitive.........like wow !........10500 rpm..... 600+hp.....imagine the gear set you could use in that hooked to the Corvette 6sp  :o

totally sick !
