ocnblu, I have Monday, January 19th off for MLK's birthday observance, then Monday, February 16th off for President's Day, and then Spring Break in April (10th-17th). Teaching does have its benefits!!

Yah, back into the cube today after 2 weeks off. I have MLK day off, then President's Day (observing all the offficial City holidays, since I'm contracting to them). Probably going to take off a week in April.

I hear that!! Me either, and we only 2 weeks vacation a year, and my anniversary date is Dec. 7th so I've already used 1 of this years weeks.

Wow..that's pretty stingy...when I was salaried, I was used to working at places that have 9-10 holidays and 3 weeks vacation....

I work when I feel like it as long as I get it done for the deadline. From my computer. In my home. Currently drinking hot coca. Such is the life of a freelance graphic designer.

Of course ocn you probably make way more money than me, I'm still working on building awareness.

Well, I asked this morning and I have 5 vacation days left that I have to use before July 3 (my hire date) or I lose them. I'll need two of them for Ocean City, MD's Spring Cruise the weekend before Memorial Day... can't miss all the hot cars and other hotties!

I don't necc. observe holidays (or weekends religiously) beyond X-mas & NY's. Matter of fact, I worked Jan 1. Course; being self-employeed, I get zero paid days off.

I'm taking the week of the 19th off, then no more paid holidays until Memorial Day, no more vacation time until June. I have 10 sick days, but I probably wont use them.

with this economy, and dead halt to construction industry, i hope i don't get a SEVERAL month vacation soon.....
