Guess what 2006 GM vehicle this is off of: [attachment=95:attachment] [attachment=96:attachment] It's my new 2006 G6 GT with all the trimmings. Yes the 2003 Grand Am GT went bye-bye for the G6 and the the G6 is sooooooo much nicer to drive than the GA. I'll take better shots tomorrow in the light. It's a Crimson Red GT with the Leather package (taupe), Panoramic sunroof, remoter start, power pedals, wing, chrometech wheels... Good deal when the GM Card double the rebate from $1000 to $2000. I leased it for three years like the 2003 GA. I'll let you know how it goes, but it is definetely geared better than the GA and feels a lot more powerfull than the 3.4 thanks to that.
Let me be the first to congratulate you on your new Poncho! :CG_all:

Let me be the 2nd. Awsome! Though i still hate the name the coupe is growing on me although it has weird proportions, but the sedan is very clean and sharp.
Well done. You have clearly made the right choice, and not only is it cool looking, fast and fun, it has a full cross-car magnesium I/P structure and structual elements in the console and seat frames to protect you in case of hard side impacts...very safe!
Very cool, Walt. The G6 looks great in red. Can't wait to see the pics.
Congrats.... I guess. :P I'll just stick to data which supports the Grand Am GT ... it's faster and better handling... and better looking. Good choice, though. It's better than getting just about any other sedan, but if you would have gotten a GTP, you would have been able to beat a GAGT. :D
So cool, Walt. Congratulations! I love the G6.

Very cool Walt! Awesome to hear about the new vehicle. From what I understand......the wifey really had liked the Grand Am, so the G6 must have really impressed!
Hey I know Perrine. How was your experience there? They had a car show back in July with a red Solstice on display. They were friendly, that is until you went into the showroom. I told them I wasn't part of the pull-ahead program yet, but they insisted on giving me a full presentation of the Terazza! Then they tried to tell me to just go ahead and pay the lease off to get out of the Rendezvous so I could buy one of their last two '05 Terazza's!!!

Anyway, good luck with the G6... if I could have waited, I would have gotten that instead of the Malibu.

Roger, I did all the negotiations though email. I told the internet manager that I was going to walk in with my GM Card #, the keys to the Grand Am and nothing else and I wasn't going to pay any more than what we agreed on. We walked in, took the car for a test drive and there was no pressure. Due to an error in MV fees, the payment actually went down $2 a month. I will definately be back there for either a Solstice or a GP GXP in the spring.
I was goona say Cobalt until I scrolled down :P Good purchase. Just two things...gearing is the same as the Grand Am GT but your right better then regular GA. For speed its probably the same as the GAGT---cause the G6 gained a few hundred punds which offset most of the perofmrance of the more powerful engine. Congrats on the new car. My wife has GAGT--maybe we should go test a GTP.... :AH-HA_wink:
