There is a very common term in LA "let's go to the snow"...every kid says it, or hears it.

It means that the city will never see it, but adjacent mountains, from about 4,000 ft on up, can get it.

I like it that way...no snow anywhere in sea level parts of California.

Same way here..that is one of the positive things about Arizona. On the other hand, two recent studies showed the several cities in the Phoenix area amongst the more boring and most illiterate in the US...wonderful. ARRGGGGHHHH

I have a borrowed Silverado with a blade on it, if & when it hits 2" deep, I'm off to plow down in Princeton. My buddy, whom I'm plowing for, is hopeful the 5-9" forecasts he's seeing come true- his contract pays by the inch. I don't mind it- it's something different and it pays decently.... but this is only the 2nd year I've done it; it's not old yet.

It was supposed to start here by 4 a.m. I am keeping watch, but nothing yet. The atmosphere is heavy, though.

They just upped our snowfall totals to 7-10 inches.

LOL....funny.....

Two cities in the Las Vegas valley hit the "most boring" list.......Henderson and North Las Vegas.....both suburbs.

The local news station anchors were all bent out of shape around that list.....the thought being....how could suburbs of Las Vegas, that are located so close to The Strip with all the casinos, entertainment, shows, dining, and shopping be on a list of "most boring?"

Additionally, when you consider all the outdoor activities available to residents of the valley (mountain snow skiing being less than an hour away, summer lake activities at Lake Mead 30 mins away) the "most boring" list is really hard to understand.....
