This leaked image was on the World Car Fans website today. This would make a nice premium compact hatch for either Pontiac or Buick. I didn't really see Buick selling an upscale hatchback, but this design has changed my mind (although Buick would still need a sedan version also). It seems to have a more upscale exterior appearance than the current Astra.

Nice looking

EDIT - I wonder how the 3-door will look like. I'm expecting something more agressive.

EDIT nr.2 - That's a WMP window showing the car and it is in Portuguese. We rule in leaks! :lol:

From this photo at least the front looks much more dull than the current car, almost like a Commodore. I thought GME hated that car, now they want to emulate the front of it? Otherwise it's handsome.

I picked up the Jan issue of CAR magazine today, it has an illustration that looks much the same...the greenhouse reminds me of the Mazda3 and Impreza. Interesting in that it looks like it has a reversed version of the Insignia side crease.

Looks pretty good... a lot better than the currnt model, and I think it looks pretty decent.

The nose looks duller here in this fuzzy image to what we currently have.

That pic is very low resolution. I want to see the real thing!

Buick Skylark? Buick Century?

Buick Skyhawk?

Actually, I still think GM should give the next gen Corsa/Astra hatchbacks to Pontiac:

* LeMans: Corsa 3-door/5-door

* Tempest: Astra 3-door/5-door

Buick would sell the next gen Astra sedan as the Skylark.

If the hatchbacks are assigned to Buick, then I guess they could give them the following model names:

* Apollo: Corsa 3-door/5-door

* Skyhawk: Astra 3-door/5-door

* Skylark: Astra sedan

I like Cire's idea-still want to see the return of the sweepspear curve in Buick styling (moreso than the 2010 LaCrosse-good to see it back, but its only a start)....I was thinking of sticking the Sail name onto the Corsa though, I'd put it in my lineup, and that's something I couldn't say until now.....the smallest Buick ever....

Considering the slightly outlandish front end treatment Mazda gave the 2010 Mazda3, this design seems like a well executed and refreshing change. I am a big Mazda fan, but I was a little disappointed in how the Mazda3 (the 5-door even more so than the sedan) turned out. The new front end design is a little disturbing. This car would make a nice alternative.
