LG Chem to build Volt Battery Packs in Michigan

GM announced at the New England International Auto Show that LG Chem would provide the battery packs for the upcoming Volt. The Korean based battery supplier will build a plant in Michigan at a yet to be confirmed location, with GM handling the responsibility of building the complete packs and for all the battery management systems and power electronics.
