If you ever hear about ME buying a bulldozer you might

want to stay far away from my locale as it will almost

surely be encased in concrete & packing... uh, I mean...

uhhhh, never mind. I've said too much already.

I am getting a 1986 John Deere lawn tractor model 165 from my uncle. It was my grandma and grandpas until grandma moved out of her house. I always used it and loved it. So I will have 2 riding lawnmowers this summer. It is in fairly good shape. Not a lot of hours since it was only used a few times a year. It just needs a little cleanup and the right front tire is bald.

Care to x-plain?

Old tractors are cool... my Dad had a '62 John Deere 2010 model. He used it for a variety of things around the farm, including plowing the nearly 1 mile driveway in the winter. It was one of the first vehicles I learned to drive.

Looked a lot like this one:

Well, anyone who has been around here for any length of time knows I was raised on John Deere tractors. I raked many an acre of hay on a '52 Model A, with that classic "Putt Putt" 2 cylinder gas JD engine (luckily, ours had an electric starter activated with a foot pedal, otherwise it would have been a hand-crank sidemounted flywheel-start). The 3020 and 4020 were both excellent tractors that have enjoyed collector status, and I am sure many thousands of them still work every day. John Deere FTW!

i'll stick to my 48 senior 101. we got a 52 A as well... hand clutch FTL hehehe

Yeah.... I respect John Deere eqipt.

That being said a friend of my wife's got a John Deere themed Baby Shower.

That is a bit too much IMHO. :P

Though it could always be worse...

Orange County [HackJob] Choppers Baby Shower theme FTL?

Cant wait to get mine. I am goin g to try to preserve it but use it once in the while enough tio enjoy it. It will be like getting reaquainted with an old friend. Like I said it has a lot of life in it and it has not seen ANY hard use. 12.5 horse Kawasaki engine and hydrostatic transmission. Its RWD too. It doesnt have a mixed drink holder like the Sears does but I am sure that could be arrainged.
