February 21, 200917 yr Look what you started Satty. I think we're eventually going to have to do every brand. This one is for Chrysler. I'll kick things off: The mighty 2.7L V6!

February 21, 200917 yr Author Never mind, the picture is there now. haha I've never seen one of those. They're said to be the basis for which the LH was inspired by.
February 21, 200917 yr Yeah, even more rare is the Eagle Premier. Or any Eagle from the 80s besides the AMC Eagle. Edited February 21, 200917 yr by mustang84
February 21, 200917 yr Presenting: the car that in 1992 made every Camaro guy want to blow his brains out "Nice LeBaron." "No, it's a Maserati." Can't laugh too hard at this one - my first car was a non-turbo Colt. But in the spirit of the thread, here goes.

February 21, 200917 yr Oh man, I haven't seen one of those sad Monacos in forever. And with a longitudinally-mounted engine and FWD, I can see how they could have inspired the LH cars.
February 21, 200917 yr Author Oh man, I haven't seen one of those sad Monacos in forever. And with a longitudinally-mounted engine and FWD, I can see how they could have inspired the LH cars. Yeah, there's documentation about it somewhere on allpar. == It's anything but cute.
February 21, 200917 yr In my business, Mopar is the worst for unexpected engineering changes to replacement parts throughout a given model year. For example on a Grand Cherokee, if it needs a replacement hatch gate, you have to buy a whole new wiper motor and latch because somebody found a problem somewhere and decided to completely redesign the whole thing internally. The list is endless and it's on just about every Mopar product. They even changed the look of the outside belt moldings on Rams, so if you replace one, you have to replace all of them so they match in appearance, the old style molding is no longer available. It all seems so random. So yes, Chrysler's engineers are still known for being overzealous.
February 21, 200917 yr Actually, the inspiration for the LH cars was the Lamborghini Portofino concept. http://www.lamborghiniregistry.com/Portofino/index.html
February 21, 200917 yr St. Regis, art and engineering, but poor execution. What is up with those headlight covers. St. Regis = instant police car
February 21, 200917 yr An American Revolution? In 1986? FAIL! This just goes to show you how nobody looked at Chrysler advertisement.
February 21, 200917 yr Author Actually, the inspiration for the LH cars was the Lamborghini Portofino concept. http://www.lamborghiniregistry.com/Portofino/index.html The cab forward design was inspired by the Lambo concept yes (Chrysler owned Lamborghini at the time). The engineering ideas came from the Monaco.
February 21, 200917 yr Author An American Revolution? In 1986? FAIL! This just goes to show you how nobody looked at Chrysler advertisement. So GM saw an 80's flier and decided to steal the slogan?
