Several sources are coming together to suggest that an electric or hybrid-electric sedan similar to the Chrysler 200C concept will be built at the Brampton plant in calendar year 2011. The vehicle would have a range extender to bring it up to 200 miles.

Where is the money coming from to develop this car? Heaven? Besides, unless these EVs show a definite value advantage to buyers, they won't sell in big numbers. They'll sell at a loss -- just what Crysis Motors needs.

I would suspect it would offer traditional powertrains as well as the EV powertrain to widen it's appeal.

The ca itself is build on a modified version of the LX platform, so the platform wasn't just created from the ground up (like the Volt's). Big cost savings right there.

I hope so. This car would make an incredible replacement for the current pitiful Sebring. Imagine the Chrysler brand with a beautiful and competitive midsize car! Wow!

Looks like an evolution of Chrysler design language to those of us who aren't eager to try to desperately find a way to say "ZOMG IT LOOKS JUST LIKE [iNSERT BRAND HERE]'S CAR TRUCK AND SUV!!!!!"

I actually am excited to see this car built, I think it would do well for Chrysler if they survive.

I see no Pontiac badge, no FWD proportions, and no ribbing, so this car does not offer EXCITEMENT!!!!!

I'm keeping a careful watch on this car for any news actually confirming it. If they do, I'll be a very happy person.
