March 4, 200917 yr This new commercial for Lexus explains how they reinvent the way "we" see in the night with such innovative features as a "heads up display" and "new illuminating headlamps". Both of these features are nothing new but they have a jazzy little commercial and imply they are there own well thought out ideas. That's all fine and good but if I did not know better I would believe they thought of these "innovations" I can recall Pontiacs and I think even Olds' with HUD from nearly 20 years ago. And now GM cuts 1,000,000,000 from their own advertising budget. If anyone wants to watch. Its not a bad commercial and must congratulate the marketing gurus. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGCfoz8GvlU
March 4, 200917 yr Excellent commercial, from a marketing standpoint. It doesn't really allow the viewer to focus on or see the vehicle much, and is clearly advertising the brand "Lexus". Which is good for Toyota, because that bitch be ugly! And yes, the HUD and pivoting headlights are nothing new, but Toyota does a good job making it seem like they are.
March 4, 200917 yr Buick had an ad claiming class-exclusive "Total Vision Technology" - articulating HID headlights, heated washer fluid (discontinued), tilt-down heated side mirrors, side marker lamps (in mirror), parking sensors, rear view camera, and DRLs. AFAIK, all luxury crossovers have "Total Vision Technology" available; it's just that most side-marker lamps are mounted on the fenders, not the mirrors. Edited March 4, 200917 yr by empowah
March 16, 200917 yr I saw that the other day and thought; REALLY??!?! wow the comments on that video... touching? really? Almost makes one wonder if there isn't some subliminal message in the commercial or something Come to think of it; I've never really understood why Detroit became universally lambasted circa 2005... Maybe that was why. Anyway... Yeah, I almost gizzed on the TV too when I saw that little piece of heaven called the RX and the mellow, oh-so-soul enriching music... (Stuff like this makes me want to get physically violent) Edited March 16, 200917 yr by FUTURE_OF_GM

March 17, 200917 yr Buick had an ad claiming class-exclusive "Total Vision Technology" - articulating HID headlights, heated washer fluid (discontinued), ... Buick dropped the heated washer fluid? Bummer..that's a feature I'd like to see widespread...would be really nice when commuting in those subfreezing winter days..
March 17, 200917 yr I saw a truckload of the under-bite new RXs a few days ago. They were worse in person than in awful pictures. Buy them up America!
