November 11, 200520 yr Finally up at Dodge.com: http://www.dodge.com/caliber/index.html They only have concept photos up at the moment, but as we all know, the final product won't differ much from the concept. Not bad, IMO.
November 11, 200520 yr Still no interior photos? I can see why they don't want people to see it: If it looks that crappy in the concept, it's going to be a real Chryslerfest in real life.

November 11, 200520 yr The interior isn't too bad. Looks on par with the Cobalt. Speaking of sporty compacts, when the hell is Nissan going to replace the Sentra?
November 16, 200520 yr Next fall as a 2007. MAybe they will show it in LA or other Auto Shows. At least its not as old as the Cavalier got, and it also is NOT as old as the "hip" Focus. Waaaaay back in Fall 1999, the 20th Century, Ford started selling the Focus. 6 months later, Winter 2000, the current Sentra came out. The Focus will still be around another year 2007 and God knows how much longer, after the next Sentra is out. So, I wouldn't throw stones, ;=)
November 16, 200520 yr boy they've come a long way in 20 years. Edited November 16, 200520 yr by regfootball
November 16, 200520 yr That 20 year old Omni interior actually dates back to 1977, pushing 3 decades!
November 16, 200520 yr boy they've come a long way in 20 years. [post="43729"][/post] That's almost exactly the same........except for the steering wheel, dash, vents, instrument panel, radio, climate controls, door handles/window controls, shifter, etc.... Dammit, it's 2006....where are the neon lights, digital everything, video confrencing, and human transporter??
November 16, 200520 yr Whoever is doing interior designs at Mopar should be pink-slipped-this and Dakota anyway are especially terrible and dated looking.
November 16, 200520 yr The interior isn't too bad. Looks on par with the Cobalt. [post="41805"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] I hope you're kidding.
November 16, 200520 yr The interior, from the first interior photo posted in this thread, looks to be on par with entry-level, economy cars. The silver is overdone a bit but, overall, not bad looks-wise.
November 17, 200520 yr That interior has got to be one of the most plastic-fantastik looking places I've seen in a long time. The steering wheel, in particular, looks like it was ripped off of something made by Fischer-Price. Also, the 300C's "luxury" status kinda dimishes when the Caliber has the exact same centre stack. And, lastly, the cloth seats look to be made out of that ghastly webbed crap... you know, the same kind that's inside your swimming trunks? Dodge can keep the Caliber... I'll take an HHR!
November 17, 200520 yr Looks no worse than this: or this: right on par with this: but, definitely better than this: I'd say all in all it isn't bad when it will be compared to this: Or even this is quite even: Again, what is the big deal were you expecting something luxury style with a econo-box? Maybe they should have benchmarked VW for a change right? Let's face it, cheap means cheap. The interior doesn't make me excited about Dodge but, it gets the job done for a volume product. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't buy it but the interior really isn't the deciding factor. Maybe y'all were look for something like this :P : or this:
