March 13, 200917 yr This car was supposed to be just a concept. Then it was decided, due to the overwhelming demand that a thousand production copies would be built. In the end, four years later, 8,000 copies came into existence. The doors are very unusual, while they were made unique in order to accommodate an unorthodox chassis, not unlike the 1955 M.B. SL300's, they were, in some ways the exact OPPOSITE of that car's "gull wing doors". Also, it had a SOHC powerplant. 170 H.P. Good Luck.
March 13, 200917 yr Good guess.... but like I said: this car does NOT have Gullwing doors. hehe sorry my reading comprehension skills significantly decrease after midnight
March 15, 200917 yr Author I suppose you could say I'm on a BMW kick. This morning I saw an 850 ahead of me in traffic, first 850 I've seen in months, and I almost followed him home to ask: "You wanna trade your BMW two-door hardtop for a Mercedes Benz two-door hardtop?" I'd like to tell you I stopped myself because if I'm going to go for broke to own a BMW hardtop, it will be a 1960s 2000CS. http://bringatrailer.com/2007/06/22/restor...w-2000cs-coupe/ Anyone got $25K I can borrow...?
March 15, 200917 yr Sixty8, you might get a kick of of this. Top Gear did a test that proved that the BMW's access makes it so a girl wearing a miniskirt will show off what's under the covers.

Well since the BMW driver probably paid the girl wearing the miniskirt to get into the car, he was likely to see whats underneath anyways.
March 15, 200917 yr Author Hahahah... I've always loved the swing-up doors that BMWs have. No worries of tall curbs damaging the lower door edges. The mini-skirt thing I've heard about a few cars.
