Rorschach is my new hero!

I haven't read the novel yet (which most people say is much better than the movie) But the movie was nothing to sneeze at.

My only complaint was that it's a bit long.

Not mention the huge blue penis.

My son said even at 3 hours long this movie rocked and that it was very faithful to the book. Going to watch it this weekend.

Guess the Big Blue Dong is for the woman viewers!

Kelsey and I watched it the day it came out and we loved it!

look up 2 and a half watchmen on youtube..... it's semi funny.

I guess I'll be the voice of dissent. I never read Watchmen but I knew the basic plot going into the movie. It didn't seem like that interesting of a story but I was really looking forward to seeing it based on what I had read and the previews. It was long and it felt like it too which is never a good thing when you see a movie. I won't give anything away, but to me it was a lot of nothing. There were a couple of semi-interesting parts, but overall it seemed like it didn't know what it wanted to be. It tried to be serious, but the gory parts were over the top silly and I never bought the idea that these 'retired' heros could beat the crap out of a gang of thugs on the spur of the moment when it looked like some of them hadn't seen a gym in ages. Plus, for people who supposedly had no super powers (except for Dr. Manhattan), they sure seemed to be able to do some super human stuff at times. Bottom line, it was just too goofy for me.

I'd never read the novel, was lured in by the trailer. Saw it opening weekend. It's really long, visually interesting, and at times completely incomprehensible. But, I liked it overall, better than the 3rd Matrix movie.

I forgot all about that. I kept thinking in the first scenes; 'are they really going to do this to me?' Sure enough, first frontal scene has it all, LOL.

I also pretty much hated the sex scene between Nite Owl and Silk Spectre. It seemed a bit too trashy and awkward. Almost more of a softcore porn than anything else. (and we all know that NO ONE likes softcore )

It did...

But not super hero flick gets excellent reviews... In fact, I put about as much faith in movie critics as car critics. Pretty worthless, feminine and elitist.
