2007 CTS Rendering

Featured Replies

I thought it was already discussed in length how this is not the next gen CTS in any way?
It'd sure as hell get my vote for '07- slicker than snot on a glass door knob!
Yikes. Thankfully, that is not the new CTS.

The upcoming model is far sleeker and much more tastefully done. The above image has been discussed time after time around here and is obviously just the current model melted in all the wrong places with some ridiculously pointless edges thrown in at random.

Unfortunately, the new model's exterior is very evolutionary. It's the interior that'll drop jaws. :AH-HA_wink:

I'm DYING to see the interior!! Can someone at least describe it? Is that against the rules?
Well, I could do without the groove along the lower edges, esp behind the rear wheels, but the fender ports & the rounding of the rear end look very evolutionary to me. I also like the front-to-rear taper in the greenhouse. But the early reports on the actual '07 design are encouraging: the current CTS is my favorite Cadillac design.

Was it? Sorry.

If the Escalade's any indication of the CTS's upcoming interior, I can't wait to see it.

Uh oh, that was said of the Escalade's interior. Is it distinctively styled or just tasteful and refined? I'm hoping for the former.

It looks very high tech in a sort of Lexus way. The center stack flows neatly into the armrest area (wider at the top, narower at the bottom). There is a ribbon of wood, that flows from one end of the dash, down and around the armrest and back across. It has a meaty looking 3 spoke steering wheel. The HVAC controls are neatly intergrated, with an analog clock in the center. There are seperate controls with displays for dual climate control. I think it is on par if not better than the New Lexus IS interior, and a bit more stylish than the Infinity G35 Sedan.

The above picture is not very far from the real thing. The real car is much smoother in body line transitions. The tailights are narrower. It also has a new design cue that debuted on the 07 Escalade :AH-HA_wink: .
Power-retractable running boards? ;)
