March 27, 200916 yr i got a few hard drives from old computers laying around. one of them in fact has a bout 30gb of music and pics that i would like back. i dont want to send them off to get restored or transfered and found this little doo hickey looking around. anyone used one or know anything about them?
March 27, 200916 yr i don't know why they shouldn't work.. it's just an external enclosure rigged with a card reader.... if you want speed out of it, don't get it, it prolly works fine otherwise. just look for reviews on them...?
March 27, 200916 yr i like the little cube style ones better that have sata ide 2.5 and ide 3.5 on them. i have had no issues with them
March 27, 200916 yr That's cool...I had a 30gb hd and a 120gb out of dead computers that I put into an external HD enclosure to try and recover the data, but the computer I hooked it to never could see them...the old drives must have been damaged.
March 27, 200916 yr Author eh i looked at some reviews and the people said they didnt like em, another guy said his computer didnt recognize his. just thought i would get more reputable advice or suggestions than those tools on there
March 27, 200916 yr Interesting. I have a SATA external enclosure for my backup drive, and the guts of an IDE enclosure...although I just have the IDE drive hooked up internally right now.
March 27, 200916 yr I've heard good things about Thermaltake's HDD compartment, although I'm personally not too familiar with these HD thingies. http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/th...take_blacx_hdd/
