March 29, 200916 yr Author Please, you must shower once in a while ... I'd have one in my office. :AH-HA_wink:
March 29, 200916 yr Camino, if you owned a GM Performance store, there wouldn't be an unmolested performance exhaust in sight.
March 29, 200916 yr I'm not quite sure how to take that! Take it with the tongue in cheek nature that it was intended. I'm finally getting a sense of humor back after a good 9 months of its absence and figured I would express it a bit.

March 29, 200916 yr You know- it does seem to be a missing hobby component: a sort of speed shop that can order you any part, shipped to the store, buyer can hold/evaluate it in person, then buy or not. Hook up with all the aftermarket/repro vendors. Add a few bays for work like stated: lesser resto/parts installation & performance, and you could have a happening place. I was looking thru a thread on another board on vintage speed shops- one of which is still open right near me. Such a cool, hoppin' place, as opposed to -say- any chain autoparts stores with isles of air fresheners & neon wiper blades - sorry I missed the bulk of that era. BTW- the aforementioned speed shop is really just a shadow of it's former self. Save a bay for my B-59- I need someone to do a dry-fit of the front clip.
March 29, 200916 yr Author If I had the wherewithal to make it happen, I'd monogram a bay for it, Balthazar! Maybe I should start looking for investors?
March 29, 200916 yr No money here, but I could do the graphics package (pro bono) and design / build the building for you (that's gonna cost you, tho).
March 29, 200916 yr Author Commercial real estate prices have gone down the tubes in the last few years, how expensive would it be to pick up an old repair shop, one that has lifts and proper wiring and is up to code? You'd be surprised. Around here, 300k wouldn't buy you an outhouse - even in this economy.
March 30, 200916 yr Author Seriously? $300,000 gets you a 40 acre farm out here: http://realtysource1.minnesota.remax.com/l...57319aTop Yeah. I live in a crazy place as far as real estate goes.
March 30, 200916 yr That could be problematic... Just get the Jag out of there, nobody is going to leave their car with a guy who is unable to rebuild an English car whose pieces are in half a million Ziploc bags.
March 30, 200916 yr Author Just get the Jag out of there, nobody is going to leave their car with a guy who is unable to rebuild an English car whose pieces are in half a million Ziploc bags. Especially with the Russian notes attached to the bags!
March 30, 200916 yr Author PA real estate prices are ludicrous. Not everywhere in the state, but certainly here.
March 30, 200916 yr Also. Local tax's?? WTF! In addition, some local bodies assess a wage tax on personal income. Edited March 30, 200916 yr by deftonesfan867
March 30, 200916 yr PA real estate prices are ludicrous. Not even close. People from NJ/NY bargain shop in PA. ;-)
March 30, 200916 yr Author Not even close. People from NJ/NY bargain shop in PA. ;-) You have to look at certain zip codes to even make a comparison. PA is big, and the part I live in is insanely expensive - no bargain hunting here.

A new house was just built next door to my brother's place. Tiny lot, basic suburban single family home Asking price: $975,000
March 31, 200916 yr Texas prices are much better, and you don't have to deal with $h!ty drivers/cold snowy winters.
March 31, 200916 yr But Texas sucks and Texans are annoying. The only people who wear cowboy hats are cowboys and assholes, and I know that not everyone in that state is a cowboy.

March 31, 200916 yr We need dicks like Satty to f*ck the assholes in Texas. Don't you have an igloo to go build or something?
