Peppermint Freaks, if you like glam.

Scum of The Earth, if you like White Zombie.

I don't have my MySpace Music bookmarks handy.

I recently discovered Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears...liking them...kind of a vintage soul/blues/James Brownish feel.

maybe some of you have heard of them.... the beatles....? LOL actually.. i'm not a huge fan...

Then, there's my friends:

Bacchus

Fire Hydrant

Tripping Hazard

Cold Dead Hands

The Atomic Ravens (possibly defunct)

Fine Motor Control (broke up, my friend moved on to Bacchus above)

These are people I know in Toronto - I've seen most of those bands above more than 5 times. Supporting friends who are trying to make it. I like some of them better than others, but I think they all deserve venues and some place to play to an audience.

Also I would like to say that there are certain benefits to being in this type of scene. Not that I would do any of that now that I'm in a relationship, but it was nice when I was single.

Some eclectic music that's new to me that I've discovered today include Otis Taylor (Ten Million Slaves), Gaslight Anthem (The '59 Sound), and Ghostlight Observatory (Sad Sad City)....all pretty interesting and different.
