April 2, 200916 yr First, the semi-famous 'professional' band: Hostage Life vid 2 Then, there's my friends: Bacchus Fire Hydrant Tripping Hazard Cold Dead Hands The Atomic Ravens (possibly defunct) Fine Motor Control (broke up, my friend moved on to Bacchus above) These are people I know in Toronto - I've seen most of those bands above more than 5 times. Supporting friends who are trying to make it. I like some of them better than others, but I think they all deserve venues and some place to play to an audience.
April 2, 200916 yr Also I would like to say that there are certain benefits to being in this type of scene. Not that I would do any of that now that I'm in a relationship, but it was nice when I was single.
April 17, 200916 yr Some eclectic music that's new to me that I've discovered today include Otis Taylor (Ten Million Slaves), Gaslight Anthem (The '59 Sound), and Ghostlight Observatory (Sad Sad City)....all pretty interesting and different.
