Pontiac Solstice Club Racer

This was already posted a little bit back, but I'll repeat myself: lose the dumb spoiler and it's a winner!

...sorry, must have missed the previous post...looked to see if anything had been posted...won't be offended if this was removed. I agree the spoiler looks dated and non-harmonious or something..don't like it.

Has someone been playing too much Need For Speed Underground 2 or Most Wanted? Yes, I would say. The spolier and paint look like they came from NFSU 2, anyway. Otherwise, what a great concept!

I found some real-world pics:

Not digging the carbon fiber-look dashboard.

Yeah I thought that looked pretty gross too, but I do like the suede dash.
Spoiler is actually nicely styled, but it is oversized and visually uneccesary. But so are the rocker moldings. The functional fender air extractors look great, however.
I wonder if this is a hint to some of the visual upgrades we'll see on the Solstice Turbo. (Nosejob and front fender brake sill, for one.)

Suede dash is HOT! :)
Hey, add some shag carpeting and we will have party. I agree when saying the carbon fiber dash is not cool. I would have preferred an brushed aluminum piece instead and make the interior look more sporty and exotic to make it tie it in with the exterior theme.
Even I can admit that the spoiler needs toned down... as in lowered. Also that those ground effects are about as tacked on looking as they get. There's a thing called integration, you know... That and those wheels really make it look jacked up. Not a good thing at all. As for the interior... I generally dislike the carbon fiber look, but it doesn't look half bad here... Otherwise, everything else is superb. I hope to see most of it on the GXP. Really hope...

I don't see much wrong with the spoiler...seems more purposeful to me, not simply there for show (unlike the wing on the Cobalt SS: even though the factory put it there, the car isn't that aggressive). But there's nothing "club racer" about suede dashes or honey gold paint.
