November 16, 200520 yr I wish I had a pic for this one. I know where the car was probably going, so if they park it close to the fence I can get one this weekend. My father saw a totaled black Solstice on a flatbed this morning going through Sayreville, NJ (anyone reading this who might know of a Solstice driver that totaled one in NJ let us know). Nose blown off, top down and it's raining today. There's a salvage yard next to the Starland Ballroom (those that know the area in NJ, it used to be Hunka Bunka) that only sells whole cars and I bet that's where the car went. I'll take a drive by and see... Otherwise just an FYI that one Solstice (maybe a first 1000) is now off the list.
November 16, 200520 yr Ewww...and I have a feeling it isn't the first one, just because of the way some people drive :(
November 16, 200520 yr I live in Old Bridge I will drive by tomorrow 11//17 to check it out. There is also a big salvage yard on 35 near all the construction it might have went there
November 17, 200520 yr I wonder if SOLSTICES have SOULS?--(SOULSTICE?)--How could anything so BEAUTIFUL NOT? I for one am glad you dont have a picture!
November 17, 200520 yr Author MGOBlue2, It was heading towards Jurnee Mill Road (on main street in Sayreville) so if it was heading to a local yard, it going in the right direction. BTW, I lived in Old Bridge for about 4 years and now in Spotswood. Grew up in Sayreville.
November 17, 200520 yr We should add a clause to all Solstice lease and purchase agreements: "If you total your Solstice, we reserve the right for people lining up for the car to beat you up badly."

November 17, 200520 yr I did drive past the salvage yard, on Jernee Mill Rd, and did not see the Solstice. I wanted to get a better look at it. From what I saw of it in the morning I don't think there was much left to salvage!
November 17, 200520 yr How sad. They should give people IQ tests before selling nice cars like the Solstice.
November 17, 200520 yr To be more realistic, they should consider offering driver training specific to the Solstice. At least on the high performance model later. Make sure they know how to drive and handle it first.
November 17, 200520 yr There is a Dark green one right near my house a the local Pontiac dealer Dark Green, really nice little car, they should use the nose from that on the whole line.
