April 10, 200916 yr Yes, my furry idiot has blue feet. I have no idea how this happened, and I'm not sure I want to know. I had just gotten back from picking up some food with the wagon (Arkus went along for the ride), when I let him out of the car and took my dinner inside. Zora wanted to eat so I let Arkus stay outside for a few minutes. Big mistake. He went through the invisible fence and was gone. Spent an hour looking, only to get a call from the cops that a neighbor had him. So I went and picked him up ( and got another annoying lecture from another annoying do-gooder). When I let him into the house I looked down and saw that his feet looked odd. In better light, I could see that yes, his feet really were blue. This dog will be the death of me.
April 10, 200916 yr Author I didn't think it was that cold out. It's not, but his feet are a bright, chemical blue.
April 10, 200916 yr Author Should have a vet look at it if you can't wash it off yourself. Probably true. But they will be staying blue for tonight, wrestling a malamute into the tub just isn't on tonight's agenda. I'm beat.
April 10, 200916 yr Camino, I'm surprised at you! You are supposed to dip eggs in the blue dye for easter, not Arkus' feet!
April 10, 200916 yr Author Camino, I'm surprised at you! You are supposed to dip eggs in the blue dye for easter, not Arkus' feet! It's just about that color, now that you mention it! (his feet are usually white)
April 10, 200916 yr Every time I see one of these threads, all I can think about is how you could use this.
April 10, 200916 yr someone may have had their yard treated with pesticide. there is a chemical that you add to it that temporarily turns the yard blue to show if you missed a spot.
April 10, 200916 yr Did he get into someone's pond that the water is dyed blue? Like what you see at min-golf courses.
April 10, 200916 yr Author I don't know what it was, but this morning's dew in the grass cleaned it right off.
April 10, 200916 yr Dogs will get into anything, it seems. Last summer after the monsoon storms, parts of the back yard were muddy messes... so the Westies (which are usually clean and white), went out in the yard and came back in the house coated in mud..all over their paws, bellys, faces, etc. Fun, fun...
April 10, 200916 yr Even the prissiest looking dog will revert to its true nature when released. I'll bet those little fellas had a blast.
