Finally resolved all the glitches on the new server and I'm ready to finish the move. I'll turn things off here at 9PM.

Move complete. I have a PHP redirect in place on the old server that points us here. We ust need for the DNS update to take effect and we'll be good to go.

Like insert special items, fonts, links etc. Fixed it. Since we changed our I.P. address, firefox No Script was not recognizing the site as cheers and gears.com.

How is our data backed up? Raid 5, or 10?

I must say that the benefits of this move are already showing. Much faster load times plus the News Feeder finally works properly.

One side effect of the new site seems to be that email notifications of new posts in subscribed topics doesn't work. I haven't received any notification emails since the last downtime..
