November 21, 200520 yr I love the way this car looks....very crisp.....nice stance. It's for the South American market. New Chevrolet Vectra Limousine Edited November 22, 200520 yr by HarleyEarl
November 22, 200520 yr That should be in the US --- Couldve been the new Cavalier or Cobalt?? [post="46845"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] Vectra's on Epsilon, I believe. If they brought it to the US as shown, it would replace the Malibu.
November 22, 200520 yr Author Something doesn't seem right.....so many markets are getting great looking Chevys....and we get the Malibu.
November 22, 200520 yr Interesting..looks completely different than the European Opel/Vauxhall Vectra...
November 22, 200520 yr Interesting..looks completely different than the European Opel/Vauxhall Vectra... [post="46871"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] It looks much smaller... like an Astra sedan, but the platform is slight different, I believe.

November 26, 200520 yr Isn't that body shell waht will be the Saturn Aura for this market? I don;t pay attentinon much to the new stuff... another example where it all looks alike.
November 30, 200520 yr It was developed in Brazil, it's not on Epsilon like the European Vectra, it's based on the previous generation Astra platform taken to the limit. Epsilon would have been too expensive for sth america, whereas Astra has been in production for a while and has a high local content.
November 30, 200520 yr It's based on the new Astra, which, yes, is just an update of the old Astra platform still built in Brazil, unlike the Cobalt and Ion which use Delta. It is bigger than the old Vectra and in most ways bigger than the European Vectra. Like the Civic and next Sentra sedans it uses a longer wheelbase than typical C-segment hatchbacks (and slightly longer than the European Vectra sedan and Malibu), in this case shared with the new Astra wagon and Zafira MPV.
