May 5, 200916 yr I heard this horrible joke and I just have to share my pain. A SQL query walks into a bar and finds that there are tables all around him. He says, "Can I join you?". *tom* *tom* *symbal* Thank you. You'll never get that minute of your life back.
May 5, 200916 yr Heh-heh...now what kind of join would be best here--- an inner join, an outer join, a left outer join?
May 5, 200916 yr The joke doesn't make sense! An SQL query doesn't join a table. An SQL INSERT query inserts something into a table, although it does not join the table itself. To do so would be preposterous!
May 5, 200916 yr The joke doesn't make sense! An SQL query doesn't join a table. Sure it does..a SQL SELECT query often has many joins in the WHERE clause. Cubical is down with the SQL, whether it is writing SPROCs for Oracle or DB2, free form queries against Oracle, MySQL, or CRUD logic for JEE apps (whether using JPA, EJB 2.0, JDBC, Hibernate, etc).
