May 10, 200916 yr First big cookout of the year is going on as I type. Hamburgers on the grill, cold beer and other assorted beverages in the cooler, and a nice little fire going in my newly built (literally started yesterday and finished today) fire pit. Marshmallows are being roasted, s'mores are being made. The only way the night could be more perfect is if it were lit by fireflys.
May 10, 200916 yr Instead of searching for a tiny Canadian Pontiac, why not just turn on the porch light?
May 10, 200916 yr Tomorrow the pool here will be open. . finally. Its still kinda chilly temperature wise, but thankfully its heated. Will be having a BBQ for my mom by the pool. Think I'll take Satty's advice here and do S'mores for dessert. That sounds great.
May 10, 200916 yr First summer weekend here..i.e. first weekend of 100s...will be this way and warmer through September probably...enjoyed the pool some today, and went and saw 'Star Trek' this afternoon w/ some cubies. Excellent movie, btw.
May 10, 200916 yr Author Its been in the mid-60's all evening. But thats what the fire is for. Luckily bugs aren't a huge problem yet, I'm sure that in the next few weeks we'll be investing in some of those OFF candles.
May 10, 200916 yr I'm getting one of these! Aquatic EPIC WIN! How in the hell would that actually play, though? Wouldn't it be floating all around the place? Sounds like something that seemed like a good idea at the time...
May 10, 200916 yr I'm glad the season's here, another winter over, but it's been raining so often here lately my backyard was a foot tall until yesterday, I couldn't get on it.
May 10, 200916 yr My brother says that the solution to that problem is that you just have to shoot from wherever the raft goes in the pool. My solution to it is that you just move it back. As long as the pool pump isn't running, it shouldn't move around too much.
