Lucerne CX has chrome grille

Featured Replies

From seeing the inventory at a local Buick dealer I noticed that the base model has a chrome grille and the other 2 have shiny black grilles. This is ass backwards; the CXS, which has a chrome strip on the lower trunk edge, chrome exhausts, etc., is the one that should have the chrome grille, not the base model; what are these people thinking!
Perhaps it's an optional Chrome package? Did the window sticker indicate the chrome grille as an option?

I didn't check the sticker very carefully but I doubt it is an option.
I don't think so. When I was at the PBG dealer last week, they had two Lucernes sitting outside, one V6 and one V8 (thanks to the portholes). Both had a chrome grille. Didn't check the trims though. I'll have a look again and maybe some pics when I pick up my car.

I saw a half dozen Lucernes at two dealers this weekend, all CXLs or CXSs and all with shiny black grilles. I wonder if the chrome grille is a late change that will show up on all models over the next few months. BTW, the Lucerne is a stunning looker, especially in CXS guise.

On The Build Your Lucerne on GM Canada the chrome package is an option. approx $400
