Yeah I can't believe I am asking this... Will a 2005 Impala LS with the premium CD player like shown here only with out the tape deck play burned CD's/MP3 formated music say from iTunes? I think it works in my Bonneville and never tried in the Torrent because I know it can't at least I think, because it was the standard l-cheapo cd-deck and its has an AUX input for my Nano. Anyways anyone know? Here is the stero in question, mine will be the same minus the tape deck. My 2001 only has a AM/FM/Tape with RDS, FYI that is partly why I am wondering... Anyways the photo...

Yeah, I know the Ventures used the same head-unit but they might have had MP3 logo on them meaning they had MP3 support like the current Colorado's do... Hmmm....

If your music is on iTunes, they're mpegs, either ripped from a cd, downloaded or converted from an mp3. Thus, if you burn through iTunes, you're making a cd of mpegs, not mp3s, which will play like a normal cd you got from a store, unless you're in a mid-90's Chrysler, then it will spit pea soup at you and rape your entire family. So you should be fine.

Yes it should. Our Cav's CD player does play em.

Hey great guys thanks for the help! Tested it out in my Torrent with what was an MP3 was burned in iTunes and changed to MPEG's/CD files and played great. So yes it will work, my son will be very happy with the news.

If you burn an audio CD, you will be fine 99% of the time. If you burn a data CD with MP3 files, that requires MP3 playing capability.
