December 4, 200520 yr Cars did Buick and Oldsmobile sell? Or one brand? I have Sales of each division from 1908-82 so a onslaught of trivia can be made!
December 4, 200520 yr Are you asking how many cars Buick & Olds each built over their histories?? I remember totalling up the number of Pontiac Catalinas built from '59-81 and it took a long damned time. IMHO, 'numbers' trivia is like the lottery: either you know the exact number and your right... or you're wrong. There's no way to 'work around to' the correct answer...
December 4, 200520 yr Buick: 1900 - 1 1902 - 1 1904 - 37 1905 - 750 1906 - 1400 1907 - 4641 [post="52543"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] If Motor Trend, et al were around at the turn-of-the-century, Buick would've been pronounced DOA for having dropped in sales a full 100% for the '01 model year.
December 4, 200520 yr IIRC, Buick was the best selling brand in 1908, passing Ford. I'll have to look to verify, but it was the profits from Buick in 1908 that gave Durant the ability to form General Motors.

Very much. It's easier to be a fan of new brands that only have 10-20 years of history. Most of the info is easily attainable. Claiming to be a fan of a 100+ year old brand requires a lot more effort and research.
December 4, 200520 yr ...to be a fan of a 100+ year old brand requires a lot more effort and research. Damned straight! Ven- have you picked up The Buick; 600 pages! So far it looks to be quite thorough. I have a 600-page history on Packard on it's way, too. Gots me readin' cut out for me....
