What platform was that on? I was just reading that it had the LS2 and was on a "lightweight aluminum chassis" so I was wondering..
Concepts generally don't have "platforms" per se. The "nominal" platform may be very different from what is actually under the skin, since the demands of even a running concept are far different from a production vehicle. For the SS it was nominally based on the Corvette "Premium Sports Car", but of course, like Holden's Torana TT36, would have had only a conceptual similarity. This "Lower Dominant" paradigm works well for open sports cars like the Solstice and Corvette, but like BOF has weight penalties for closed vehicles like the Torana and SS.
Here's what the press release said about the suspension:

C5 (Low arm SLA) suspension components front and rear with coil over shocks (not transverse leaf) (C5 rear transaxle and torque tube replaced with conventional trans, prop shaft, and rear-drive module from C4).

According to the press release, the engine was just a version of a Gen III V8, and the LS2 is a Gen IV V8, so I don't think it was really the LS2.
Stretched Corvette for all intents and purposes. But yet, still a noe-off.
I always found it interesting they used C4 Vette parts on it. I mean, those designs are over one decade old.
