July 23, 200916 yr Author White 67 Lemans Convertible, red interior. Must have been sharp new. ...and yes I do like lighter colors on the Chrome bumper cars also. Although if I were to order this new from GM I can think of two words for a color-Reef Turqoise. that color is awesome on a 67 Pontiac. Chris
July 23, 200916 yr Author Lost in the woods. Wonder if teenagers ever got this car "lost in the woods" when it was newer...for some good old fashioned fun?
July 23, 200916 yr Author Another Olds for Oldsmoboi. Interesting how these cars are elegant even in death...and a new Honda Pilot or Ridgeline is ugly right off of the showroom floor.
July 23, 200916 yr Author 57 Chevy 4 door hardtop. The 50's section of this yard is mostly crushed and gone, but a few remain here...
July 23, 200916 yr Some great shots you got there 66stang. Thanks for continuing to do this and posting them for us all to enjoy
July 23, 200916 yr Author And time to disappoint balthazar and tease Camino. This wagon is just as clean as the junkyard cars are trashed. Photo's don't do it justice...
July 23, 200916 yr Author Another wagon pics. There is a 60 that is this clean and nice down by the Ohio river where one of my daughters friends lives, same color combo. I'll try to get pics of it also. Chris
July 23, 200916 yr Author Clean, clean, clean Chevy truck. I know where there is a green GMC that is even nicer. I like the four headlight look of the GMC of the era. Chris
July 23, 200916 yr Author This is the car I was telling Camino about...about 8 or 9 thousand orig. miles. Again, better than the photo shows. I'm going to buy it and paint it Mayfair Maize. And then 68 and I are going to add a Benz diesel for better fuel economy. Chris
July 23, 200916 yr Author ...and it's a pink cadillac... This cars sister is undergoing resto at a local bodyshop...and getting painted baby blue...ughhh... Chris
July 23, 200916 yr Author Another wagon for Camino and 'blu, this one in black...hard to see behind the other cars.
July 23, 200916 yr Great pics- keep 'em coming ! A lot of the vintage stuff is really pretty bad tho- tough to look at. But that '63 wagon is gorgeous- wagons now are rare enough that I can strongly appreciate even Chevy versions! -- -- -- -- -- 66- WHAT IS THIS to the right ??? :: Fabric roof insert says '30s. Depending on what it is/ body style/ cancer - that's worth some bucks right there.
July 23, 200916 yr Author Another big block truck...must be...has it nose in the air... The first of a few GMC's for Roger/GMC truck guy 74. Wonder if this bus was used by hippies in the 60's?
July 23, 200916 yr Author 68 El Camino. At one time I counted 40-45 El Camino's out here, right now I think there are 15-20 left. Chris
July 23, 200916 yr Author This thing just sooo needs to be restored, painted black, and used as a mafia staff car in a movie...
July 23, 200916 yr Author They must have sold a lot of Pontiacs in the 50's and 60's in Ohio...these yards are full of them.
July 23, 200916 yr Author Motor shot from 66 Lemans Convertible. You can still see blue paint from when it left Pontiac in 66. 66 LeMans Convertible. Think this is the exact car I would have ordered from PMD in 66 if I could have. 3x white...top, interior, body. Must have really been a looker in 66. My fav. car of all of these in this yard...and the one I told balthazar about 2 years ago. Chris
July 23, 200916 yr Author IIRC this was from inside a GMC truck. Still looking for the steering wheel in question form 55-56. For GMC truck guy Chris
July 23, 200916 yr Author ...and we have a 68 Pontiac for BigPontiac. Just wish this one was as nice as his Bonneville.
July 23, 200916 yr Author Cougar isn't the only Pony car ragtop back here. 67 firebird, notice the whie stripes on the sides. Chris
July 23, 200916 yr So. Much. Rust. Somehow, I don't think in 40 years we will see yards like this full of Camrys, Accords, and other modern generica. They will all have been crushed instead. Rob
