If I recall it was the first one built and the one BJ sold. It was to be the only one that color and was part of the deal when you bought the first public one.

Atomic orange is the best looking color IMHO.

THe GM orange is a love hate color few are passive.

I am not a big fan but I saw a new Camaro SS in the Orange with Silver stipes and it look good. Not enough I would buy it but enough to admire it.

The Camaro orange is different than the Corvette orange.IIRC.

The Orange is the best color for the Camaro IMHO.

You're right. A couple of years ago my wife and I were looking at a Z06 model on the showroom floor. They had open-view sky lighting in the building but one side was obscured by a thick pillar. In different lighting the color went from a gorgeous, high-sheen sun ray, to kind of puke color, to rusted metal brown. My wife said to the salesman, "It belongs in the sun anyway. Such a thing is too good to waste sitting in a garage or under a stupid blanket."

I love my wife.

I love my wife.

I was not a fan of the red jewel coat tint when my mother picked out her car. In the showroom it just did not pop. We drove it out of the show room and into the sun the car looked so much different.

Everyone make a big deal over her car now. Every time she goes some place they all make a big deal over her Malibu.The big 18 inch wheels and color give it a stand out look with taste.

Atomic Orange does catch the eye, but I think Cyber Grey Metallic is better.

the previous year he also bought corvette #003 for 1 million. they convinced him at the auction to bid 1,000,000 for it like he did for the 53. he was already the top bidder at $900,000 but he agreed. he actually paid $105,000 for the car, the rest was charity. he got to follow the car from start to finish at bowling green too.

i hate the orange myself. my colorado is sunburst orange. seeing a truck like it at night and then in the day sold it for me. its great, except every single orange GM sells is different. touch up paint is an ordeal to come by because it may say sunburst orange metallic, but it will be the orange for the cobalt, or the hhr, or the vette, or avalanche. then they throw out inferno orange metallic and it becomes a $250 extra cost option which that shade ruins it really. more red than the orange.
