December 15, 200520 yr My roommate has a 2005 Grand Am, less then 8,000 miles because he hardly drives anywhere. His heater control is broken. We called the local Pontiac dealer to get a Saturday appointment because he needs his car on the weekdays. They told him they don't do any warrenty work on the weekends. This is a major, every brand but chevy, GM dealer. Anyone encounter this before?
December 22, 200520 yr Call GM customer support about that one that is one reason i never heard before. that is why GM has bad rep.
December 22, 200520 yr Well, yes, I've heard of it before. Several dealerships only staff technicians on the weekends that perform (same day) routine maintenance... and they only schedule appointments for the same as well. Everything else waits till Monday. I've encountered this at both Chrysler & GM dealerships. At some dealerships, you can't even have after-market accessories installed unless it's on a weekday.
December 28, 200520 yr ohh i see what you mean. yeah the local toyota dealership does that, the GM one may too...
January 28, 200620 yr If it s a warranty repair they usually give you a rental car. What is the problem with having a rental on a weekday?
