BMW hybrid... steam engine?

Featured Replies

Sounds interesting. I can't wait to see official numbers.
Umm, buttttt isn't Steam Piston technology older than both OHC and OHV, what are the OHC strokers gonna say......???? I guess it will still have a OHC engine as the powerplant though so they should rest easy at night... Hehe I would love to learn more about this system, it looks like good old fashion thinking outside the box.
Wow, great read. My dad has ben saying for almost a decade that we wil come full circle and one way or another water will power a car... weather by hydrogen or more traditional steam. He's got uncanny forsight sometimes.
Having a power engineering background. . . I see steam powering massive turbines, I dont see why not power cars by steam. . . other then the issues of startup times.

I agree! A self respecting car company would never use an antique technology! Wait...........the Japanese didn't make it so it's no good!
