December 16, 200520 yr On the 11th apparantly a new version of the T2X concept debuted. I first saw it on GMTV and took a print screen of it, and I was only able to find one other pic of it. Anyways, here is the old T2X that debuted back in April: And here is the "evolved" one: Here is the only other pic I could find of the new one: Obviously there must be a bigger version of the last one I posted, but I couldn't find any. Regardless, I think the new Chevy grill inserted into the old black space makes it look a lot better, and I really think GM could do good producing something like it.
December 16, 200520 yr Styling direction for the next gen Equinox? They also filled the space between the headlight housings and the LEDs. The changes kinda remind me of how the SS concept got some slight grill changes (uplander grill). IMO, I think that one looks a bit more cleaner than the one iwth the bar through it.
December 16, 200520 yr Yes, the revised definitely looks better. I'd love to see this built as the next Equinox/Torrent.
December 16, 200520 yr Author A front license plate will work as well on that as on a Solstice. [post="59438"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] I think there would be room right under the grill like on the silver one, but if it couldn't fit there then there would be a problem.
December 16, 200520 yr Appears to look a lot like the Opel Antara concept. New nose, same body. Hopefully a 3 door version of one of them makes it to the U.S.
December 16, 200520 yr I never liked the T2X and hope it stays in Korea. I don't understand the point of it; it has the same wheelbase as the VUE.
December 16, 200520 yr yeah I think it's pretty sharp too! Deffinatly a few steps up from what they've been designing lately
December 16, 200520 yr I love it I hope the Antara becomes the Vue, and that this and the S3x become the next gen Equinox

December 16, 200520 yr Oh, shitt that's ugly [post="59431"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] yeah, like scion ugly....Gen DUH'ers will buy it.
December 16, 200520 yr yeah, like scion ugly....Gen DUH'ers will buy it. [post="59563"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] I love it and if GM wants to be noticed by import buyers again they better start building stuff like this in the US.
December 16, 200520 yr I like it.. I hope it gets a proper engine and not the crappy ones GMDAT build..
December 16, 200520 yr A front license plate will work as well on that as on a Solstice. [post="59438"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] Wow.. I like it. The original was a bit too "I wanna be a Mazda" but this new blue one is downright sleek. As far as the plate I'd mount mine off to the side. :)
December 16, 200520 yr Hogans et other inisders. Will a version of this Theta be coming to the states?
December 16, 200520 yr Wow, that is stunning with the chevy grill, it looks more polished than the original concept. I hope that is looks as amazing with 4 doors, same for the Antera for saturn. This is exactly what GM needs to improve their image with new buyers! Just don't put a crap chinese built engine into it. I would love to replace my 2dr Jimmy with that.
December 16, 200520 yr <_< IMO the 1st gen is better looking than the 2nd gen. I do not like that big ass chevy bar in the second one. It looked good for the 1st gen. I like an open grill area. :P
December 17, 200520 yr The grill looks fine to me and the second picture does look more refined and thought out, hell I might buy one if it comes to the US to replace my Impala and give me something else to buy whilst I rebuild my main driver ('76 Chevy C-10 long-bed, fleetside)
December 17, 200520 yr Looks great! If they can keep those looks for the production vehicle (for whatever brand it goes to) I'd say it'll be a hotseller.
December 17, 200520 yr I like it, actually. A little rough around the edges, but, whatever. It's a three-door SUV, and I'd like to see that concept return when people slowly start to ditch big five-door SUVs and those vehicles are no longer needed to haul Junior, Jimmy, Senior, and Ms. Soccer Mom around town anymore.

[post="59905"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] Actually I think the T2x had 2 suicide doors like the RX8 and Ion Quad Coupe.
December 17, 200520 yr Gross, it has a split rear windshield like the Prius and Aztek. [post="60056"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] I agree, that back windshield doesn't look very good. Should be replaced with a single curved rear windshield.
December 17, 200520 yr I love the color on that concept and I also like the grill...........if some of the quirkiness could be taken out of it I think it would look great. But I love that color!

[post="59427"][/post] That's a nice looking vehicle...and if its got a quality build and a good selection of engines/options, then I think Chevy will have a hit.
December 18, 200520 yr Actually I think the T2x had 2 suicide doors like the RX8 and Ion Quad Coupe. [post="59992"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] Still, anything resembling a three-door SUV should make a comeback. If two, small suicide doors (along with a powerful engine) are required to put the Sport back into Sport Utillity Vehicle 180 degrees, then so be it. Some of us probably won't and/or don't have kids to haul around, if it be by choice or otherwise.
December 18, 200520 yr I agree, the idea of a sports coupe/hatchback/SUV combo sounds great. This evolution of the T2X is an improvement, but there are still some "show car" details that need to be changed for production. After living with my Ion, I am not sold on suicide doors because they don't allow for a really solid body structure... my Ion rattled and creaked like mad after only a few thousand miles. My extended cab Colorado is somewhat better because of the BOF foundation, but the doors still rattle against each other over bumps. The Element's gotta rattle too after some miles.
December 18, 200520 yr I like it with a crome cross bar, or no cross bar at all (like how they evolved the Malibu.) Edited December 18, 200520 yr by illustcat
