I'm gonna go with that car has been altered... thats a mid 40's car i'd be willing to venture... looks like it says chevrolet on the front but i'm not sure...
It's a Chrysler product. Looks like a Plymouth... either it's a limited production aftermarket conversion, or an Aussie Ute.
I'm with ocn: a '54 Plymouth Ute from Down Under.

Me three. It could be newer than a '54 though because they hung onto the '54 body shell for a few more years. I remember reading about them awhile back and was surprised that the '54 body was still in use a couple years later.

Blu and Balthazar, is there anything you car nuts don't know?....you are both right, it's an Aussie Plymouth Ute. They had Desoto, Dodge and Plymouth versions. Very interesting. They had these before the famous El Camino and Ranchero? Also Balthazar, I'm liking your signature...it's very Buick and very artsy too.

Australians are awsome! How about that nut-job who has a Merlin V12 powered 1957 Chevy? It a wagon or a Nomad... I forget, but in either case the 1700+ horsepower makes it one of the sickest weight to power ratios of any street car in the world, nevermind Australia.
