Stern has realized the new wave of broadcasting is Satellite Radio. Much like the new wave in media is the 'web. I can't wait to see what this brings over the next two years!
If you're a fan of Sirius then fine, but I can't see shelling out that kind of money just for him.
Oh I am. I get it on my phone for an extra $5 a month. I'll gladly be spending it. It's Sterns. I can't wait to hear him uncensored.
I've been a 3-time a week average listener for many years now, but I also have not decided that (oh; and it's) $13/month is worth it. Josh- how the hell do you listen to the radio on your phone? Do you have it on speaker, lying open on the table or something? Do you then carry it with you going out of the room? Seems like a huge inconvenience.
I'm going for it... I've only been listening to Stern the past couple years, but it's good stuff!
Don't we have a satellite station or something like that?
Already have XM so I feel bad I won't be able to listen. Hopefully, GM will start to offer Sirius in their vehicles too like Toyota does but seeing how GM is a major shareholder in XM, I doubt it.
Some things are meant to be free.... like when I was cruising in Ross's beather 1977 Cutlass and we were listening to insulation tips on AM-only radio. :D
Yeahbut, Sixty8, everybody thought TV should be free too, and look at us now. We complain because there's nothing on 130 channels.

I used to listen to Stern every morning on the way to work, until my local station took him off for pitching satellite too much. I love his show, but it was getting old, his complaining.

I don't guess I'll be getting a Sirius system anytime soon. GM's XM option sounds more and more attractive, however. Maybe I'll spring for it on my next vehicle.

I think cable TV should be a "pay per view" situation. For example, you have your daily listings, so you can choose any channel at any time... you have a mote control that keeps a tally of what you watch, and that's how your bill is figured.
I was actually quite satisfied with network television, just as I am generally satisfied with broadcast radio. It's really a shame that New York's one good rock station is changing its format to all-talk. This is all Stern's fault, by the way. Now I have XM, and I'm going to be grudgingly paying the monthly fee because Sarah likes having access to her country music. *Sigh* Fortunately my Cobalt also has the MP3 player so I can pop in a compilation CD with a crapload of songs on it when I feel like it.
$500 Million dollars is what hes gonna make from Sirius. Well thats what I read anyways yesterday. Man that could buy me a lot of LeMans Blue Metallic paint and some LS7's :D
