MO: '64 is my favorite year for '60s full-size Olds. Love the 'convertible'-look top, the rear quarter peaked edges, the interesting taillight design. 98's had the coolest ribbed rockers, and of course the Starfire's textured metallic trim is really cool. Not nuts about the relatively simple front end: horizontal quad headlights within the height & plane of the grille always seem somehow... 'cheaper' isn't the right house, but it''s on the right street. Looks like it's wearing 18"s, which is too big.

YES, thanks for posting, razor. I love everything about it except for the steering wheel, it looks out of place. I actually like modern rims on older cars, if they're not too "space age" looking. 16" or 17" Torque Thrusts look awesome on anything, from Rambler to Cadillac, imo. Maybe the lucky owner chose those rims because 6 spokes were a late Olds trademark.

I tremble...it's so cool. With just slightly smaller wheels but keeping the shiny chrome..would be over the top. I like the fins on these, quite apparent really...surprising Olds had them with many cars moving away from them at the time.

ahh the days when you could tell a '62 from a '63 or a '64 - I have to say that '63 is my favorite of the generation and it is also normally the hardest to find/find parts for... :)

THAT would be the very last usage of tailfins, albeit in vestigial form.

Wouldnt that be more of a fender extension , Fly ? because they are not up, just out ? Id say this was more of one of the last use of the razoredged tailfins. We still had raised edges on rear quarters later but not real knife edged fins.

I don't want to start a Big Thing here, but no way can I call those fins. For the past few decades, everything I have ever read has always called the last year of Cadillac fins 1964. Why in 2005 that is challenged, I cannot fathom, but I do not agree. s'gotta have either an upward angle or a sheetmetal backcut somewhere (rearward or to the side). Don't see any of that here.

Yeah that steering wheel is gross. I'd be installing a traditional one about 5 minutes after I picked this car up if I bought it.

I agree with Fly on this one. The taillights are attached to a blade, or fin, that is raised, or at least separated from the decklid, and has its own contour on the quarter.
