September 12, 200916 yr Kind of an odd comment but... I've been a long term owner of a 66 Mustang Fastback (289 4 speed) a 70 Chevelle, a 71 Chevelle, a 91 Miata, and a 2002 Miata. All cars that people frequently put stripes over. I'ver not put stripes over any of those cars, although I've thought about it. To me, it takes a special car to pull of the stripes thing well. Looking at the Achieva with the white stripes and Ted's with the black...that cars pulls of the stripes really really well. And I love the nose on the Achieva. I'm probably one of the 7 people that feel this way, but that has to be one of the best looking noses of the 90's. Chris

Chris Add me to that list & prob 98 too 'cause they were ment to look like a baby 98. That has the 3100 my daughters had a 3300 in it & I wanted to pull it & transplant a 3800 S/C in it's place but it got totaled first.
September 14, 200916 yr Author I just thought it was cool that someone has the same color car as me, and decided to have fun with stripes! The roof rack is kinda crazy too! Im glad Im not alone in thinking the Achieva is a good design.
September 14, 200916 yr The only thing I didn't like stylistically about my Achieva was the fender skirt. Otherwise, a great looking car for its time. Also, look at the difference in wheel sizes between the Achieva and the Camaro in TED's signature pic. The Dubs crowd really sunk its teeth into the auto industry over the past 10-15 years. September 14, 200916 yr Author Aww, how can you hate on the skirts. Thats an integral part of the design. One of the last American cars to have them!

True I think that the last of the Deville's were the very last. I like them and they are GREEN (supposed to lower the drag coefficient) Oops I think that Volt gets them oooooooh a new old trend Edited September 14, 200916 yr by 67impss

September 14, 200916 yr Aww, how can you hate on the skirts. Thats an integral part of the design. One of the last American cars to have them! Eh, I dunno. That's just what I'd pick as my least favorite feature. It's kinda like how the Cobalt Sedan has generic triangle tail lamps but the Coupe has distinct rounds. I was always wondering if the coupe rear clip could ever fit on the sedan (mind you, my car was a coupe). Complete side note: why does the Volt have a front quarter window? It doesn't look like it needs it.
September 14, 200916 yr I'm with aaaantoine, I don't really like wheel skirts. It's not a styling element I want to see make a return. Different strokes for different folks.
