December 22, 200520 yr Just made an inventory of some Camaro items that I have in my collection, including the actual Chevy dealer laminated display for the 2002 model year that chronicles Camaro's "hiatus". There is also some dealer guides from the 1993 Gen4 change over and a ton of brochures and a dealer poster. Just wanted to share.
December 22, 200520 yr I've got about 50% of that... and I have a 2001 AND 2002 complete Chevy Car line Stand up laminated display. 2001: intro of Z06 2002: Exodus of the Camaro Too bad I wa no longer workig at a Chevy/Pontiac Dealer in 2002, I'd love to have the same amount of Firebird Trans Am dealer only momorobilia.
December 22, 200520 yr Author I know I have a 1988 Camaro (orange!) and a whole bunch of Corvettes at my parent's house that are the dealer models. Remind me why we collected them? They were really badly done and no detail.
December 22, 200520 yr I also have a collection of Camaro brochures from '94-'02, along with a few hero cards (?) from SLP for the SS (even one for the SS LT-4). Aside from that, I have auto show brochures from over 10 years ago.
December 22, 200520 yr We collect because they'll be worth money in the future. And yes, people do buy them, there somewhat of a novelty I guess. I have the '92 anniversary camaro(I think thats the right year?), and two ZR-1's
December 23, 200520 yr I have a mint 1964 1/2 Mustang ad that says if I send in $1.00 they will send me a Mustang model. Should I try it or am I 40+ years too late? [post="62542"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] DO IT!!!! And then sue Ford if they don;t hold up their end of the bargain. Send in $6.25 to compensate for inflation. :D
December 23, 200520 yr For me being such an obsessed car guy, I'm amazed I have never really done much collecting of stuff. You guys are inspiring me to do so. Anyone else have auto related collections?

I have about $500 tied up on Credit Cards for Solstice merchandise, memorbilia, Ebay auctions, etc. I guess you just have to come across that vehicle that captures your mind.
December 24, 200520 yr Just don't come across it. :AH-HA_wink: I have some old magazines from the 70's down at the farm yet. I really need to go down and get that stuff before my aunt & uncle burn it. Motor Trend, mostly, with Car & Driver and a few others thrown in.

Anyone else have auto related collections? [post="62655"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]I have all kinds of stuff that I collect. I actually got more into it after GM announced the end of Oldsmobile and I lost some interest in new cars. Still bieng a car guy and an Olds guy til death, found a different way to channel my passion. Brochures (all makes models, but mostly domestic/GM) dealer only items (all Oldsmobile stuff: ordering guides, price/spec handbooks, posters and a huge flag) license plates (my newest interest. BTW: Sixty8Panther, I'm still interested in trading w/ you. I'm back online after losing everything to a computer virus, just been busy with the holidays and getting ready to move) diecast (mostly Johnny Lightnings) Most of my stuff is boxed up right now, but after I move and get set up sometime next month, I'll post some pics of my collections.

In return I sent him license plates from a few different states & a ton of dealer promo plates. :)
