Frank Sinatra

... commercials what do you think?
I think they are trying to get away from that image and demographics. Although, they might want to get something newer than the '70's
Sinatra is cool......so's Robert Plant I can deal with both.....thats maturity....maybe what Cadillac is looking for. Maybe next year it will be Sammy Hagar Maybe we'll get a look at the ghost of Elvis in a STS-V, singin Hound Dog to the media.
Frank Sinatra transends cool, he is timeless, he is the one and only...he is class. It would suit Cadillac perfectly. Young and old love his music.
IMO, I don't understand why so many like Frank Sinatra. I feel like anyone can "sing" like him. It's more like he's just talking, and not singing. Once again, just my honest opinion. Shoe-bedobedo.

I used to think that way but I was going from what I remembered of the 60's when music was changing and he was to busy trying to stay "hip". Yes anyone can nearly sing along with Frank but they can not sound like Frank nor have created that style. You have to have a taste and feel for the music but if you wanna hear good Sinatra you have to listen to his early stuff. He was at the forefront of a certain style of expression and feel. Face it an entire generation can not be "wrong". Now I love old Sinatra and listen to it and others from that era when I need to sooth the soul and excape the hyper syndrome..... kinda like driving a Caddy :)

Don't worry, I like Sinatra. I'm just not too fond of bandwagon arguments.
My friend calls me a failure of an Italian because I don't listen to Sinatra...It's not even that I don't like him...I just don't listen to that stuff... If I was to hear it on a caddy commercial though it would work fine. Did you guys know before they picked LedZep they were going to use "break on through to the other side" by the Doors but The Doors turned them down because they didn't want to sell out? Just a small tidbit of info I heard on the radio. But anyways, yea, I think Sinatra would work fine. I mean, most people have a lot of respect for the guy, even rappers, so there shouldn't be many worries about losing any demographics or atleast publicity over it.

I dont think that generation liked Sinatra because they were jumping on a bandwagon, that was their music and it passed down as well. Like myself now that can listen to big band swing and old Jazz and enjoy it and understand what the draw to it was, then turn the page and listen to intense Progressive Metal
