October 12, 200916 yr New purpose built police vehicle that looks pretty cool, has a diesel engine, and is AMERICAN!!! http://carbonmotors.com/
October 12, 200916 yr Welcome to 2008 They introduced the concept a while back, I think somewhere around NAIAS 2008 auto show. Nevertheless it is a good concept, let us see how the implementation goes.
October 12, 200916 yr I'm wondering where they are sourcing their components from... the dash looks like a lot of production parts from somewhere. Seems like a very expensive and unlikely venture to get off the ground.
October 12, 200916 yr Author Well I did a search on the forums to see if it had been talked about before and didn't find anything. I'm a Chief Marshal and had never heard about this car. I got a call last week from someone associated with or with this company asking me if the vehicle was of interest to me. Since I had never heard of it, I had no idea. After looking at it and reading the specs, this might be a quality piece here, if they actually build it. It's a HUGE market that Ford is supposedly going to abandon with the demise of the Crown Vic. Tahoes and Chargers are good alternatives. I currently drive an Impala, which is a great car, but doesn't have the room needed to be an effective police vehicle.

Anyway, the car. It looks interesting, a lot like a 300C in profile, looks LX based honestly but supposedly its built from the ground up. Interior is neat. Wonder if you'll be able to buy them as ex police cars down the road?
