August 28, 200519 yr Egh... IDK... I might enter and I might not. This vehicle just isn't getting the ideas flowing and is already pretty perfect. Production vehicles are my preferance anyways... I guess I'll see. :P
August 28, 200519 yr Author I picked the Nomad because you do have to be pretty creative to improve upon it, as it is already very good. I'm guessing we'll see a few convertibles, though that's not what I'm doing.
August 29, 200519 yr (sigh) IDK about this one... The front on that nomad makes me nastolgic. Reminds me of a C1 Vette. Regardless, ill see what i can do with it.
August 30, 200519 yr lol very creative  ......................... http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/AH-HA_wink.gif
August 30, 200519 yr made it as simple as i can, its the Chevy Nomad GT Concept specs -rear wing -wide kit -carbon parts -mesh grill -sporty doorline -20" Sport LE Rims
August 30, 200519 yr Cool, Toxic. Which reminds me of a chopping area I CANNOT do for the life of me lol
August 31, 200519 yr lmao nos, common man, wait did u look at the tutorial video and donor CF pic i showed you, cus that will inprove ur CF skills to almost realistc, really thats what i did. B4 that i used some retarded pattern which made my car look like sh*t, but jus look at the turotial, n if u find how to do it ur set. trust me http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/AH-HA_wink.gif
September 1, 200519 yr bv: urs is sweet but the mirrors look a little small and the grill isnt quite flowing
September 1, 200519 yr My first idea was either to throw on a Caddy front end or make it a truck. The El looks good. Satty.. there's no hope, man.
September 1, 200519 yr The mirrors? ...I didn't even touch the mirrors. :P [post="7664"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] yea i guess u didnt, i just compared the two and they look the same but the first time i looked that the pic of urs they looked super small for some reason
September 1, 200519 yr This car is simply so incredible that it is hard to improve on it. The grill and general look of it is based strongly on the original 50's concept. I'd like to see someone make a Pontiac 'Safari' out of it....you know, graft a Solstice front end on it, put on Solstice mirrors, the front side fender scallop....I tried and it, but I'm working with a touch pad...not refined enough...but the concept looks good...I'm not real good with chopping so hope someone else will do it. TOXIC, you are very good technically with chopping...hint..hint.
September 1, 200519 yr Well, you can add me to the comp...I have gatehred up the motivation to start a chop...the inspiration isn't here yet, but I'll try to start in on one...I'll try this time...I promise :P
September 1, 200519 yr Author My first idea was either to throw on a Caddy front end or make it a truck. The El looks good. Satty.. there's no hope, man. [post="7771"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] I tried throwing on a Caddy front end, but discovered it doesn't work very well with the Nomad's curvy body lines.
September 1, 200519 yr satty man, i love the carbon fiber hood and the flowing fender lines.. my biggest complaint are those huge rims and untasteful seats in there... sorry lol thats awesome... ull get ur trophy whenever the camaro comes back.. (yes, dont remark - i know). ford rules... lol that is cool, nice brush effects. Mine looks similar (not in the effects dep.), im looking for parts but it is by no means an El C. September 2, 200519 yr I tried throwing on a Caddy front end, but discovered it doesn't work very well with the Nomad's curvy body lines. [post="7927"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] Yeah, me too. I thought it'd be okay with the harder corner on the Nomad, but it didn't. Even just the headlights didn't work. So I did something else... ;)
September 2, 200519 yr The front looks happy. :D Looks good, Nos. Althouth, I would have preferred a nice dark red, instead of that blue-ish teal. You also obviously ran into the "how do you improve upon perfection" deal as you changed little. :P
September 2, 200519 yr It's a "You didn't expect that, now did ya?!" grin. Ya know? It's not perfect. I would've added fenders but that'd be copying Toxic.
September 2, 200519 yr I like the paint scheme...I was also contemplating doing the grill exactly like that...decided aginst it though...Like BV said, its hard to improve upon perfection, so instead of trying to improve it, I am instead 'rodding it...
September 2, 200519 yr I got this some how  can i enter this j/k Edited September 3, 200519 yr by capriceman
September 2, 200519 yr Oh no! There's an El Camino already! Am I going to be accused of stealing an Idea?

September 2, 200519 yr Author I thought I should give everyone a reminder that the deadline for entries is 12:01 AM EST on Sunday, meaning you basically have until midnight EST Saturday to get you entries in.
September 3, 200519 yr Author Well, this is what I came up with. It was hard to make it look like a Caddy with all the curves on the Nomad, but I think it turned out ok actually. I got rid of the curvy-ness of the roof and basically added the Caddy front and wheels. This is just another reminder that the Choppin' Comp will be closed in 24 1/2 hours.
September 3, 200519 yr I hope someone will graft a Solstice front on this. The Solstice 'El Camino' could be called the GMC Sprint.
September 3, 200519 yr Author I'd really rather not give an extension on it as I really want to keep the Comps on a tight schedule. How much time did you need, Nick? Harley- I tried to put a Solstice front end on it but it didn't look very good, IMO.
September 3, 200519 yr Buick Grill and window graphics [post="8723"][/post] The buick grill looks nice but im not sure about the santa smokin some weed
