I need to find a car or several cars that were built at least 5 years ago that offered manual transmissions only. These cars can be from as far back as the 60s or 70s until about 5-10 years ago and preferably, American made. The car could also have offered a manual transmission then later offered an automatic but not in the same model year. Please give model of car, year, and any other specifications that you might be helpful. I can’t really say who or what this is for but I will say that the information will go towards good use and in a couple of months, you might even find out what this information you give me was used for. I know you said you prefer American, but up until SMG came out, pretty much all BMW ///M cars came with manuals (I could be wrong but I believe e36 M3's may have been available with autos) But I know for sure E39 M5's only came in stick.

To add to Sixty8's list: All Corvette ZR1 All Dodge Viper All Corvette Z06 As far as I know, All CTS-V (Not quite a car, but) Jeep CJ/Wrangler, until fairly recently VW Beetle, early only...automatics were offered starting in the late 1960s Porsche 911, all until around 1990 Honda Civic, first couple of years Many sports cars of the 1950s and 1960s including most MGs, Austin-Healeys, Triumphs, and Lotuses. Not too many modern American cars fit into this category since Americans don't like the shift-it-yourself style.

The 2006 Pontiac Solstice you could add to that list. Also, the Cobalt SS Supercharged is manual only as well. You may want to include the Vibe GT as well.

The M3 offered an auto for a year or two around they same time they offered it in sedan form. I doubt many people bought either.

Looks to be 40 minutes too late, but... from the late 80's and early 90's: Sunbird Turbo, Grand Am Quad4/HO, Grand Prix 2.8L/3.4L, Fiero 2.8L, Firebird/Trans Am, and of course the 240SX. Oh... wait, nevermind. Cars with only manual trannies for a certain year... :unsure:

Hudson: I was just including first year of sale for public consumption... not that a 1993 Viper had an automatic or whatever. I believe the CTS-V still is only sold wiht the manual. The advertisement bragging about this fact was one of the best car ads of the past decade. I did hear somewhere that the CTS-V will offer an auto in the future.
