Like you were looking for more teasing / pain.

Found on -ahem- another board, not sure if it has been seen here, bowled over by the sexi-hardtoppedness of it. Finally a modern car I can say may have caused me to drool.

Enough time has passed, I feel safe in saying this: I always thought the new Ute/G8 ST looked goofy with the short sedan doors. I much prefer my El Camino-type vehicle with longer, coupe doors.

I sort of agree, but I feel that with the Maloo package it looks great. I think the added mass provided by the bed cover and "cab" extension, combined with big wheels and lowered stance helped.

To me the "sedan doors" are a detail I could do without, and the slope of the rear pillars is too upright for the look I prefer...

BUT

I still loved the ST as it was intended to be, this beautiful chop simply outclasses it by an order of magnitude.

An El Camino completely worthy of the name.

Frankly, it's in the class of jawdroppers GM has been unveiling lately.

It addresses the quarter window area & too-upright C-pillar that never endeared themselves to me in the Holden ute.

shorten the wheel base and put a audi tt like trunk on it and you have hotness on wheels.

^ Eh- nice.... but doesn't hold a candle to the ute up top, IMO.

I like them both, but my choice is obvious...

Off topic a little bit...but a bunch of the Vintage Utes are cool.

Would be awesome to have a couple of modern utes and a set of vintage utes.

Just had to dredge this thread up one more time to say how hot this thing is!
